How long does an AI automation take to build?
The short answer
Most first agents ship in four to six weeks. The audit takes one week, the build three, testing one.
Most first agents ship in four to six weeks from kickoff. That is the honest range, and it holds for the large majority of builds we take on.
Where the weeks actually go
Week one is the audit: we map how the work is done today and shortlist what is worth building. Weeks two to four are the build itself, wired into the tools you already run. Week five is testing against real data, watched closely, before anything touches a live process.
What makes a project run long
Two things, almost always. A process nobody has written down, so every rule has to be reconstructed from how three different people happen to do it. And data that lives in several places that quietly disagree with each other. Both surface during the audit, which is exactly why we do not skip it.
